PHILADELPHIA (AP) With one quarter remaining John Franklin-Myers Super Bowl LI Jersey , Eagles players on the field and sideline already were dancing.

A bit later, after their stunning and resounding 38-7 rout of the Minnesota Vikings earned them the NFC championship, they listened as nearly 70,000 made the Linc shake with ”Fly Eagles Fly.”

Hey Philly, you’re in the Super Bowl.
Article continues below ...
”It was electric. The fans are awesome,” All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson said.

”We’re going there to prove we belong,” added Brandon Graham of the meeting with the AFC champion Patriots in two weeks.

And maybe it’s time for everyone to put aside Carson Wentz’s injury. Nick Foles might be good enough to win the Eagles their first NFL title since 1960.

Foles was on fire Sunday night against the stingiest scoring defense in the NFL. Next up after their most-lopsided playoff victory: the Eagles’ first Super Bowl appearance since 2005, against the team that beat them then.

Foles replaced the injured Wentz in Game 13 and finished off a rise from last place last season to first in the NFC East. There were plenty of doubters entering the playoffs Authentic Mike Remmers Jersey , but the former starter in Philadelphia (15-3) under another regime has been brilliant.

”I just think you’ve got to keep going at it,” Foles said. ”And we all believe in each other. I’m blessed to have amazing teammates, amazing coaches. Everyone here that’s a part of the Philadelphia Eagles organization is first class.”

Foles’ best work might have come against Minnesota (14-4) and its vaunted defense that was torn apart in every manner. Foles threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns, showing poise, escapability and moxie in going 26 for 33.

”I’m so happy for Nick and the offense,” said coach Doug Pederson, ”and for Nick, everything he’s been through and battled Wholesale Dallas Goedert Jersey , he stayed the course and we all believed in him.”

Foles was helped greatly by the Eagles’ domination on defense and a spectacular weaving 50-yard interception return TD by Patrick Robinson. Philadelphia ruined the Vikings’ hopes of being the first team to play in a Super Bowl in its own stadium.

Instead, the Eagles will seek their first Super Bowl crown in Minnesota on Feb. 4; their last championship came in 1960.

”I’m so proud of our players,” team owner Jeffrey Lurie said. ”The resilience this group of men has is unequaled.”

OVER AT HALFTIME: Minnesota made it look easy at the outset, driving 75 yards on nine plays, each of which gained yardage. The payoff was a 25-yard throw from Case Keenum to Kyle Rudolph well behind linebacker Najee Goode as Philadelphia’s defense looked confused on the play.

That didn’t happen again for Philly.

Defensive end Chris Long had a huge hand in Robinson’s 50-yard interception return. Long burst in from the left side and got his arm on Keenum to disrupt the throw for Adam Thielen. The ball went directly to Robinson, who sped down the left side, then made a sharp cut to the right and got a superb block from Ronald Darby to reach the end zone.

Inspired, Philly’s D forced a three-and-out Authentic illson Contreras Jersey , the Foles led the Eagles on a 12-play, 75-yard masterpiece of a drive. LeGarrette Blount showed all his power and escapability on an 11-yard surge up the middle for a 14-7 lead.

Turnovers, something Minnesota rarely committed with an NFC-low 14 during the season, hurt again and not only ended a solid drive, but set up more Philly points. On third down from the Eagles 15, Keenum was blindsided by rookie Derek Barnett, and the ball bounced directly to Long.

It was only the second strip-sack the Vikings have been victimized by all season.

A blown coverage – another rarity for Minnesota – on third-and-10 allowed Alshon Jeffery to get wide open for a 53-yard TD, and Philadelphia tacked on Jake Elliott’s 38-yard field goal to make it 24-3 at halftime.

”Credit to Philadelphia Mike Gesicki Jersey Elite , they got after us pretty good tonight and we didn’t do enough good things,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said.

”I’m still proud of my football team with the way they worked all year. The way they went about their business. The way they competed all year and tonight we didn’t get it done.”

BACK TO THE BIG GAME: Long won the Super Bowl last year with the Patriots, as did Blount. Now they return on the other side.

QUICK DRIVE: Philadelphia got the ball with 29 seconds remaining in the first half at its 20. Foles hit passes of 11 yards to Jay Ajayi, 36 to Zach Ertz and 13 to Ajayi before Elliott’s field goal to end the half.

THIRD DOWNS: Minnesota was the league’s best team defending third downs and was third in converting them. Yet Philadelphia went 10 for 14.

STATS

Jeffery caught TD passes of 53 and 5 yards and had five receptions for 85 yards. Ertz was free seemingly all night and finished with eight catches for 93 yards. Torrey Smith had a 41-yard TD catch against double coverage in the third period.

Keenum finished 28 of 48 for 271 yards, with two picks, a lost fumble and the TD throw to Rudolph. The Vikings’ previously staunch defense yielded 456 yards.

NEXT UP

Philadelphia can look forward to facing New England in Super Bowl 52 on Feb. 4. The Patriots are a 5- to 6-point favorite.

Minnesota returns home to watch two other teams play at its stadium for the Lombardi Trophy.

”We would’ve loved to play in the Super Bowl if it was in China,” Zimmer said.

NASHVILLE Dontae Johnson Super Bowl LI Jersey , Tenn. (AP) Goaltender Pekka Rinne wound up in a most unfamiliar spot in two of the most important games of his life.

On the bench having been chased not once, but twice.

In the Stanley Cup Final.
Article continues below ...
Now Rinne is back in the postseason once again, and the 6-foot-5 Finn is a big reason why the Nashville Predators won the Presidents’ Trophy with the most points during the regular season. As Rinne prepares for Game 1 on Thursday night against Colorado, he insists last year’s Final provides not so much motivation as experience to use to his advantage along with so many good memories from that thrilling playoff run.

”It’s a different year, obviously different situation, little bit of a different team,” Rinne said. ”But I’m sure you’ll look back at last year’s run Authentic Kenta Maeda Jersey , I think there’s a lot of things we can take, a lot of positives all the way through the finals and even after the finals. I think it was an unbelievable experience. I think you try to use that to your advantage.”

Rinne carried last-seeded Nashville all the way to the franchise’s first Stanley Cup Final by going 12-4 with a .945 save percentage, ranking among the best postseasons by a goalie.

Then came the Final.

In Game 2 against Pittsburgh , Rinne was pulled by coach Peter Laviolette after Nashville gave up three goals in the first 3:18 of the third period of a 4-1 loss. Game 4 was even worse as Rinne gave up three goals on nine shots , lasting only the first period before being replaced by Juuse Saros again. The Predators lost in six games.

Laviolette believes Rinne took the bulk of the blame for those losses when the Predators could have played better in front of their goalie. He also noticed what Rinne did to improve himself.

”Let’s be honest,” Laviolette said. ”He’s been the backbone of this franchise. He was really good down the stretch in order to get us in the playoffs last year, and when the playoffs came Adidas Brent Burns Jersey , he was on point. And that was a big part of it. It was more for me just a continuation. I think there’s always changes. I think Pekka does a terrific job of trying to watch, trying to learn, trying to understand the game better, trying to work at his craft.”

Washington coach Barry Trotz has seen how driven Rinne is. He wants to stop every puck – even in practice.

”He’s extremely competitive and extremely proud, that he plays hard on every puck,” Trotz said of his former goalie. ”It doesn’t matter how tired he is. … He plays every puck to exhaustion. And to me that’s allowed him to stay sharp mentally, and I think it’s allowed him to stay sharp physically because he’s 35 and he still is as quick and explosive as he’s ever been.”

Rinne started working early to prepare for this season. He has worked on his stance in and around the net with Predators goaltender coach Ben Vanderklok to tighten his stance. Planting his skates inside the post rather than outside allows Rinne to be faster tracking a puck Mike McGlinchey Jersey Elite , able to push off a post to slide quickly to the other post.

Not a big change for a goalie who turned 35 last November.

”It’s hard to do any drastic changes at this point of your career,” Rinne said.

Rinne has rebounded from losing the Final with a season that finally might win him the Vezina Trophy he missed three other times.

The goalie, who won his 300th career game during the season, posted a career-high eight shutouts with the second-best save percentage of his career at .927. He finished third in the NHL with 42 wins and fifth in goals-against average (2.31). Down the stretch, Rinne was at his best going 23-5-1 with five of those shutouts.

”He was the best goalie of the year,” Colorado forward Mikko Rantanen said.

Rinne also should be rested for the postseason having played only 59 games, two fewer than last season and his fewest in an injury-free season since 2009-10 when playing 58 games. Laviolette stuck to a plan trying to ensure Rinne would be as fresh as possible for the playoffs while developing Saros.

As winners of the Presidents’ Trophy Adidas Mikko Rantanen Jersey , the Predators will have home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. Smashville is where Rinne went 25-6-2 this season and an impressive 9-2 last postseason, which provides a certain sense of comfort.

”When you think about it, if you take care of all the home games, you win the Stanley Cup so I mean that’s huge,” Rinne said.

It was the Islanders’ day again in New York.

Barzal had two goals and three assists Authentic Thomas Rawls Jersey , Anthony Beauvillier added two goals and an assist, and the Islanders beat the Rangers 7-2 on Saturday for their ninth win in the last 10 meetings of the crosstown rivals.

Shane Prince, Thomas Hickey and Cal Clutterbuck also scored, helping the Islanders to the victory in both teams’ first game after their respective five-day byes. Jordan Eberle had four assists in the Isles’ highest scoring game of the season, and Halak stopped 37 shots.

”Just one of those nights where everything kind of finds its way into the back of the net,” said Barzal Authentic Wade Boggs Jersey , who leads NHL rookies with 29 assists and 44 points. ”It was a great team effort honestly.”

The Islanders won their second straight after a season-high five-game losing streak, and coach Doug Weight credited Halak’s play, especially early in the third period when the Rangers picked up their intensity.

”When they were blitzing us … he came up with big save after big save in a four- to five-minute span and kind of defeated them a little bit,” Weight said. ”Those are the flurries, those are the saves he was absolutely in charge of his game.”

Kevin Hayes and Mika Zibanejad scored for the Rangers, who have lost three of four. Ondrej Pavelec was pulled in the second period after giving up five goals on 19 shots Adidas Carey Price Jersey , and Henrik Lundqvist finished with 16 saves.

”Mostly I am just disappointed. … Points mean a lot right now,” Lundqvist said. ”We have to regroup here because it’s another big one tomorrow (at Pittsburgh). I think the biggest thing right now is not trying to find an answer in everything. You just have to go to yourself right now, try to play your best game to try to help the group, and not figure out everything.”

The Rangers had a two-man advantage for 18 seconds about seven minutes into the third, but came up empty.

Zibanejad, standing on the left doorstep Preston Brown Super Bowl LI Jersey , then redirected Mats Zuccarello’s shot from the left circle past Halak for his 14th goal, making it 5-2 at 9:05. Zuccarello got his 200th career assist on the play.

Hickey restored the Islanders’ four-goal lead when his centering pass to Beauvillier from the right side deflected in off Zuccarello’s skate with 3:52 left. Clutterbuck made it 7-2 with his eighth of the season and fourth goal in the last four games with 1:05 remaining.

”I was really impressed with our lineup right through,” Weight said ”It was an excellent win.”

The Islanders grabbed control with four straight goals after Hayes tied it at 1 at 14:25 of the first.

Prince scored his first goal of the season two minutes after Hayes’ power-play goal. The Isles then scored three more in the second.

Barzal made it 3-1 just 37 seconds into the period on a backhander past Pavelec and into the top right corner. He then scored his 15th of the season when he knocked in the rebound of his own shot at 4:11.

Beauvillier got his second of the game and seventh of the season when he beat Pavelec from the left circle at 6:51. The Rangers then pulled Pavelec and sent in Lundqvist, drawing cheers from the crowd and chants of ”Hen-rik! Hen-rik!”

NOTES: LW Michael Dal Colle made his NHL debut for the Islanders. … Injured forwards Josh Bailey, selected to his first All-Star appearance earlier in the week, and Andrew Ladd were out of the Islanders’ lineup for the second straight game. … Islanders F Casey Cizikas left with an upper-body injury in the second period. Weight said Cizikas’ status was ”not great” and he would not travel with the team to Montreal. … The Islanders won 4-3 in a shootout at MSG on Oct. 19. The teams play two more times – both at Barclays Center – on Feb. 15 and April 5. … The Rangers scored a power-play goal for the third time in five games Authentic Carlos Beltran Jersey , but are just 3 for 30 over their last 10 games.

GLENDALE <url=http://www.giantscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-b.j.-hill-jersey>B.J. Hill Super Bowl LI Jersey</url> , Ariz. (AP) Jacob Markstrom’s first start in five games was a successful one, and his 42 saves helped the Vancouver Canucks beat the Arizona Coyotes 3-1 on Sunday night.

Daniel Sedin broke a tie with 8:17 to play by scoring his second goal of the game, giving Markstrom his first win in two weeks. On the winner, Sedin tipped in a long shot from Brock Boeser for his 18th goal of the season.

Darren Archibald scored a short-handed goal with 5:52 to go to help Vancouver win for the second time in six games.

Markstrom gave up four goals the last time he played, Feb. 14 against Florida.

”I only played one period, so it’s been frustrating having that as the last game I played <url=http://www.bostonredsoxteamshop.com/authentic-jimmie-foxx-jersey>Authentic Jimmie Foxx Jersey</url> ,” he said. ”I wanted to erase that from my memory.”

The Canucks spoiled the debut of new Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper, who arrived in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. Kuemper made 24 saves.

”We’re playing better as a team and it makes it easier for all of us,” Sedin said.

Vancouver held a 1-0 lead until midway through the third period on Sedin’s early goal. But the Coyotes ended an 0-for-17 power-play drought that spanned four games with Alex Goligoski’s goal at 9:18 of the third.

Goligoski put in a rebound for his ninth goal of the season.

The Canucks responded quickly with Sedin’s goal, then Brandon Sutter got free on a Coyotes power play, found Archibald on the wing and he put away his second of the season.

The Canucks got a big break when a Coyotes goal 43 seconds into the game was disallowed by a goaltender interference penalty against Brad Richardson. He collided with Markstrom in the net as teammate Nick Cousins’ shot went in.

Vancouver scored on the resulting power play with some crisp passing. Henrik Sedin found Derrick Pouliot, who tapped the puck over to Daniel Sedin for a clear shot. Kuemper was too far to the other side to stop the puck and Daniel Sedin had his first goal at 2:16 of the first.

”That was a double whammy for us <url=http://www.bostonredsoxteamshop.com/authentic-pedro-martinez-jersey>Authentic Pedro Martinez Jersey</url> ,” Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said.

Henrik Sedin picked up his team-leading 38th assist of the season. The Canucks have a power-play goal in three straight games.

The second period featured saves by each goalie on breakaways. Kuemper turned away Canucks center Bo Horvat’s attempt, and a few minutes later, at the 8:26 mark, Markstrom stopped Clayton Keller’s open drive.

”Getting that first game under my belt, I feel more a part of it now and a part of the group now,” Kuemper said.

Vivendi Universal has topped both NPD Techworld's latest lists of best-selling PC games with Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. What's especially impressive in regards to the real-time strategy game taking the most notable Outland Gold spots is which the special Collector's Edition with the game is counted separately and it has itself grabbed spots on both the weekly and monthly charts. The virtual-life game The Sims and its particular Vacation expansion pack are right on the internet for in positions two and three around the weekly chart, just in front of Neverwinter Nights, though Atari's new role-playing game proceeded to go straight in the second position about the monthly chart.
Other new entries inside the monthly chart for June 2002 were Backyard Baseball 2003 and Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs. The popularity of Grand Theft Auto III and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault showed no signs and symptoms of waning, as both games retained positions within the top 10, as the likes of Spider-Man: The Movie, SimTheme Park, Civilization III, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, along with the Galactic Battlegrounds expansion pack Clone Campaigns were pushed out in the top 20 within the last month.
