The tale of souls and swords, eternally retold. I’ve been an Soul Calibur game fan since Soulcailbur II, helped by it being one of the few fighting games I’m genuinely good at and I’ve had a lot of fun with the single player, local VS, online VS and character creation of past entries in the series. Though like many Soulcalibur left a generally bad taste in my mouth.

If this rumor does turn out to point to a real product, surely Soul Calibur's fans would love to get a fighting game with as much attention to detail as Arc System Works' Dragon Ball FighterZ. A 2D fighting game much like Capcom's fighting game released years back, would definitely be a big hit with fans of fighting games and the series alike.
As with classic Caliburs past, basic strings come from repetitive or alternating slash buttons, with motions or double-taps of the D-pad added to unleash more powerful attacks. These strikes often lead to damaging combos, juggles, or high-low mixups to throw off your opponent's defensive game. The Soul Charge mechanic returns -- burning meter to boost your fighter's specials -- and Lethal Hits, landed cleanly, will cause blowback and can even destroy an opponent's armour, revealing Sophitia's delightful ankles, or Mitsurugi's ferocious nipples.
In all of the videos, Silent Joel is one of the players participating in the matches. He faces off against Hyrul and Mr. E. The characters played are Xianghua, Kilik, Sophitia, Groh, Nightmare, and Mitsurugi.
Firstly, Soulcalibur 6 has been constructed using Soul Calibur server. Graphically, it’s pretty impressive, but we don’t yet know whether 4K versions for the PC will be made – much less available from launch. However, we’d be surprised if they weren’t, in this day and age.

Unfortunately, Okubo also said: “We can’t talk about the details of modes.” But it would be a major surprise if the game lacked a single-player Story mode, and an online mode. Indeed, when pressed Okubo tacitly admitted the existence of the latter: “In Soulcalibur 6, I want to merge the light movement of Soul Calibur II and the battle system which was complete in Soul Calibur V.
