Jaromir Jagr closing in on scoring milestone
Posted December 20, 2016 by xgw xgwwei

The Red Wings, though, could not generate much more offense during a game in which they gave up goals over the first two periods to players who had combined to score just three goals over the first two months of the season. They came close to scoring midway through the third period when Gustav Nyquist drew iron on a shot.

Ryan Ellis and Mike Fisher had the goals for the Predators, who have lost three of four.

Columbus squandered leads of 2-0 and 3-2 in the third period before Seth Jones scored 46 seconds into overtime Sunday to lift the Blue Jacked to a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 for their ninth straight win.

Jones scored his fifth of the season on a 2-on-1 break with Atkinson in the extra period after Vancouver's Ben Hutton hit the post at the other end. Jones was actually caught up the ice after his stick flew into the Canucks bench and he seemed to have to battle to pry it loose.

"This is kind of anticlimactic for me in a way," Messier said. "I understand the amount of time he put in overseas. In my own mind he surpassed me a long time ago."

Kane added an empty-netter as Chicago improved to 13-2-3 at home. Duncan Keith scored his first goal of the season in the second, and Artemi Panarin had two assists while extending his point streak to five games.

''We probably played 50 to 55 minutes that we really liked,'' Nashville coach Peter Laviolette said. ''They probably had 10 chances - they got four in the last 2 minutes of the first period and three in the last 2 minutes of the second period. Not a lot more than that, but those did us in.''

''We were good all night, and even when we took penalties we were good on the kills,'' Toffoli said. ''The Buffalo game was really a wake up for us, and we stepped up. We can't stop now, though. We have to turn this into a streak.''

"I have been so privileged to have the opportunity to coach as many games as I have in cheap jerseys from China the league," Tortorella said after becoming the 24th coach in NHL history to reach 500 wins. "To get this opportunity with this club when there are so many other people dying to get in, that's what I'm so grateful for. Not numbers, just having the opportunity."

Redskins' DeSean Jackson on return to Philly: 'You neve

"I would love to win 80 to nothing every game," Cousins said. "That's not how the NFL works. ... We understand pick-sixes are going to happen. The key is playing through it, not letting it affect the next play or the next drive and that's why I'm pleased with our team. Guys are showing character and being able to play through adversity."

It didn't matter that running back Carlos Hyde rushed for 193 yards on 17 carries. It didn't matter that for the first time this season, a 49ers cornerback (Jimmie Ward) came up with an interception. It didn't matter that the Niners had six sacks on the day, the most by the franchise since November 2013.

The wild-card probabilities represent a team’s chance to claim one of the two wild-card spots, so if a team takes hold of its division, its chances for a wild-card spot will fall.

Plus, the team's defense is improving. Despite a few late-game breakdowns, the Steelers gave Buffalo little breathing room in the first half. The Bills' only touchdown came off a Stephon Gilmore interception that delivered prime field position. Linebackers Bud Dupree and Ryan Shazier were particularly active as the Steelers sacked Tyrod Taylor on four of his first six dropbacks.

But there already have been reports saying there might be some mutual interest in a reunion. Jackson said Friday he's just worried about finishing this season. After the Redskins' 27-22 win, Jackson was asked about if he thought the fans were trying to lure him back to the city where he spent his first six seasons.

Jackson has been a thorn in the Eagles’ side ever since they decided to release him following the 2013 season. He entered the game averaging four catches for 85 yards against his old team, and finished with three catches for 102 yards and a score Sunday to help hand the Eagles (5-8) their fourth straight loss.,,,

Missed call mars Vikings' attempt to force overtime

1. The Raiders are pure magic. Playing heavily out of the shotgun to offset Buffalo's pass rush, Derek Carr fought through an ugly start to lead Oakland to 29 unanswered points and another rollicking victory. The Bills did an admirable job in the red zone in the first half, but that melted away quick as Carr and the boys caught fire after the break. The Raiders quarterback earned his 10th fourth-quarter comeback over the past two seasons by hitting one key throw after the next to finish with 260 yards passing at 7.4 per attempt. It was impressive to see Oakland will itself back into the game and completely throttle the Bills over the final 20-plus minutes. If you're scanning the AFC for a bona fide challenger to the mighty Patriots, look no further than the Silver and Black.

FOX cameras captured Aguayo mouth the words, cheapujerseys "Oh my God" as the poorly struck ball dovetailed to the right of the upright. The reaction of his teammates -- particularly a sideline shot of Jameis Winston -- told the story. The Bucs are sick and tired of Aguayo's struggles, but his draft standing keeps his roster spot secure.

1. Defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul went to the locker room late in the first half with a groin injury and did not return for the remainder of the game. Giants cornerback Coty Sensabaugh (rib) was also ruled out.

Needing a two-point conversion to tie the game with 25 seconds left, Sam Bradford was clearly hit in the helmet by Cowboys defensive tackle Cedric Thornton. The right hand of Thornton clearly raked Bradford's helmet and facemask while Thornton's left arm hit Bradford's throwing arm, causing the pass to sail far out of the end zone.

2. Texans fans can blame the snow.cincinnatibengalsjerseyspop That's their final excuse for a dangerously limited offense that continues to look like one of the worst attacks in the NFL. When Rodgers hit Nelson for the go-ahead score, there was zero sense that Houston's offense would climb back in. Entering Sunday as the NFL's least effective deep thrower, Brock Osweiler missed a handful of deep balls for a scheme painfully centered around tight ends C.J. Fiedorowicz and Ryan Griffin. The Texans quarterback suffered two sacks and five hits from a Packers defense we left for dead two weeks ago. The most encouraging throw all day for Osweiler came on a last-ditch bomb to DeAndre Hopkins, whose 44-yard score marked his first touchdown catch since Week 5.

The game was held in the wind
Posted November 22, 2016 by xgw xgwwei in Philanthropreneur

NFL kickers missed like never before Sunday, setting a record with 12 failed extra point attempts.

Kickers missed left, right, had kicks blocked and hit the uprights. Kickers missed in the wind and indoors. Detroit Lions jerseys It's the most misses in one week since the NFL merger.

The NFL moved extra-point attempts back before last season because the kicks had become routine, and professionals almost never missed. The 20-yard attempt became a 33-yarder. In Week 13 of last season, kickers missed eight. That mark was eclipsed by mid-afternoon Sunday.

Cincinnati's Mike Nugent and Robbie Gould of the New York Giants each missed two extra-point attempts.

Chicago's Connor Barth, Minnesota's Kai Forbath, Jacksonville's Jason Myers, Cleveland's Cody Parkey and New England's Stephen Gostkowski each missed one. Seattle's Steven Hauschka and Detroit's Matt Prater had kicks blocked.

At night, Dustin Hopkins of Washington clanged one off the upright, in windy conditions.

Barth and Gould also were kicking in gusty winds, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Forbath, Myers and Prater all missed despite being indoors.

"It was much windier than it usually is," Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie said. "It was a cross-wind from our bench to theirs, then it switched toward the end of the game diagonal from our tunnel to the opposite tunnel."

Forbath wholesale jerseys had just replaced the ineffective Blair Walsh as Minnesota's kicker this week.

In the early-afternoon games, Nugent's misses arguably had the biggest wholesale NFL jerseys impact. The Bengals lost 16-12 to the cheap jerseys Buffalo Bills and drove all the way to Buffalo's 27-yard line in the closing seconds. If Nugent hadn't missed those two extra-point cheap NFL jerseys attempts, the Bengals could have attempted a winning field goal at the end of the game rather than unsuccessfully trying to score a touchdown.

Golden Tate the Detroit Lions had been waiting for all
Posted October 18, 2016 by xgw xgwwei in Philanthropreneur

A week ago, Tate found a rhythm against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the big plays largely weren't there. Then came Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, when the Golden Tate the Detroit Lions had been waiting for all season emerged.

For the first time all season, Tate looked like the receiver the Lions remembered from the past two years. He caught eight passes for 165 yards and one touchdown in a 31-28 win Sunday afternoon over the Rams.

"I'm kind of a forget-the-past guy, just keep grinding, just keep working," Tate said. "That's really all I can do is just show up to work every day and control what I can control. I can't control when the ball is going to be thrown to me or what side [Matthew] Stafford is looking or what plays are called.

"But when my number is called, I can control it from then on. wholesale jerseys Just kind of, just kept working in practice, just kept working. Stayed in the book, you know, just didn't listen to what people were saying outside the locker room and my chance came. All I did was just do my job, that's all I did."

The Lions needed to see this from Tate. Having him as a threat in the offense changes the wholesale NFL jerseys dynamic of what offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter can do. Tate -- and Theo Riddick -- are the most versatile players Detroit has. The Lions can line up Tate in the backfield, in the slot and out wide -- which they did Sunday. And he can make plays from any of those spots.

This was the Tate with which the Lions are familiar: a shifty, slithery, elusive yards-after-catch monster who was the perfect underneath and midrange receiver to take advantage of teams playing Detroit's deep threats, be it Calvin Johnson or Marvin Jones.

"I just want to win," Tate said. "I was on the sideline, I knew I had a decent game, obviously things that I did not so well stick out. I was thinking, with this, had a touchdown and a few yards, but it doesn't matter if we don't win. I mean, it's deeper than just cheap NFL jerseys me having a good game, man.

"If we were sitting 6-0 and I was catching two passes for 10 yards, then San Francisco 49ers jerseys I'm not even sure we'd be talking about me needing this game or not."

Sunday was Tate at his absolute best, a confident, charismatic player who is unafraid to go over the middle or jump to make the difficult catch. He's not afraid to move five times in a small space in order to get an extra yard or two. And that's critical to continue as the Lions (3-3) play their third straight home game next Sunday against the Washington Redskins.

This is what made Tate an attractive free-agent signing for the Lions in 2014, in what was a different offense with a cheap jerseys different coordinator. But Tate's skills remained the same. Those skills just had not shown up for a while. He entered Sunday with 134 receiving yards in the first five games combined. He topped those numbers in one game against the Rams.

That could be a sign of things to come for the Lions to get him more involved in the offense. Because when the Lions do, it typically bodes well for them. lain.html
