Veronica and Mario are the owners of the Alejandro Cavit Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. Struggling to keep the orphanage open, both of them fully dedicate themselves each and every day to feeding, clothing, and providing shelter for the thirty children they take care of at Alejandro Cavit. Veronica and Mario face the problem of a severe lack of food, clothes, and a well-built shelter. The hardships they endure each and every day are almost unimaginable. Through their resolve and financial and material support from ONE Children's Foundation, the orphanage continues to remain open to provide for these young orphans. Veronica and Mario experienced what parents should never have to experience--the passing of one of their own children. They lost their 14 year old boy when he was bringing some of the orphans back to Alejandro Cavit. Experiencing incredible pain from their loss, their resolve to help children in Tijuana only strengthened. These two wonderful, selfless individuals are incredibly proud of the work they do, despite the intense hardship they encounter. They truly are real philanthropists.
